In Casino Royale (2006), the shot of James Bond emerging from the sea was taken by accident. According to Daniel Craig, the shot occurred because he swam into an awkwardly sited sand bank and was forced to walk to shore.

Just watched James Bond Casino Royale and it reminded me of my marriage

James got played, at the highest level, because he let his interest level dictate how quickly he opened up to Vesper. He didn't test her. He didnt give her any time to prove her loyalty. She acted sweet, love bombed him, and fcked his brains out for a few days, and he just bent right over for her. Same thing happened to me. My ex is gorgeous, exactly what I'm attracted to physically. In the beginning she was the perfect girlfriend. Affectionate, flexible, sweet, feminine, gave gifts, wrote notes, incredible sex, she put lots of effort into the relationship. So we got engaged really quick because she asked. A year or so later, her effort fizzled out. Her true colors came out. She became negative about everything and didnt trust me to do anything...exactly how her mother treats her dad. Just like James, I played myself by letting my interest level dictate how fast I jumped into a commitment and overlooked her crappy behavior for years before finally leaving. Don't be like me.

TIL that James Bond's first filmed appearance WASN'T Sean Connery in 1962's "Dr. No," but a 3-episode US TV series in 1954 (and the first filmed version of "Casino Royale"). Bond was an AMERICAN agent named Jimmy; 1/2 of the 1st episode explained the rules of baccarat; Peter Lorre played Le Chiffre.

As a Both a Charmed and James Bond fan, how would Julian McMahon have do as 007? Seeing as he was one of the candidates to replace Brosnan for Casino Royal before Craig was Chosen?

The Monte Carlo Casino is one of the most famous casinos in the world. If you are a fan of James Bond, you might recognize this casino as it was the setting for the James Bond movie Casino Royale. Besides gambling on the slot machines, tables and gaming rooms, some come to admire the architecture.

TIL In the mid 2000s, Quentin Tarantino expressed interest in directing Casino Royale, the 2006 film adaptation of Ian Fleming's debut novel and the debut of James Bond. Tarantino said he would have set it in the 1960s and would have only made it with Pierce Brosnan returning as Bond.

I have never seen a James Bond movie before (with the exceptions of Goldeneye and Casino Royale a long time ago). Which movies in the series are good or worth watching? Which movies can I skip?

A 22 year old Henry Cavill screen testing as Ian Fleming's James Bond 007 for Casino Royale in 2005. He was Craig's runner up (as well as Director Martin Campbell's favored choice) and would have been 23 in the film had he been cast!

Is it ok to read the James Bond books out of order I read Casino Royale then Live and Let Die moved onto Dr No skipped Moonraker Diamonds Are Forever From Russia With Love?

I have watched the movies so I know the stories. Live and Let Die bored crap out of me compared to the movie Ian Fleming mediocre writer compared to George RR Martin JK rowling Tolkien C.S Lewis. Bond afraid of centipede in Dr No in the movie he only afraid for getting bite by spider he didn't shake like a girl and a pussy like in the book god sake.

Just watched Casino Royale, and I love how Felix Leiter saves James Bond from screwing things up with trying to kill Le Chiffre - a great Leiter introduction, I think. I just love how the CIA have Bond's back by staking him back in the game.
